Approaching your “warm market”

Why does any business advise you to “approach your warm market”? 
What is a “warm market”?
A warm market is generally the immediate people you know.  It could be your family members to neighbors to your child’s teacher.  It is basically people you would feel comfortable approaching.  Really, to put it bluntly…people that you could approach and practice doing your presentation and would not care if you trip over yourself, stumble and stutter. 

Okay, so it is easier said than done, right?  Some people may actually be more comfortable approaching complete strangers than their warm market.  Rejection is easier to swallow coming from a stranger than someone you know, right? ;-) 

So how do you do it?  Here’s a sample dialogue:
“I have started my own business and would like to have a moment of your time.  Because I am new and need to practice giving the presentation, I would appreciate presenting to you and getting your feedback.”

And who knows, you may actually spark their interest!

Customer Service

What truly defines a company? 
Is it their products and services offered? 
What makes you loyal to a company?

How about GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE?!

I placed my awesome order (the one where I used my Loyalty Dollars and got my 96-Load laundry pack for only $3.49) on Friday.  When I got home yesterday, my box was waiting for me!  Though, right off hand, I noticed something is a little off.  It was not in the usual packaging and when I opened it up, all my items were in a big plastic sack inside the box.  NOT the normal packaging process.  I sort through my stuff and realize something must have leaked as it got all over my dryer sheets and the main laundry detergent was missing!  A little hot and bothered by it, quite honestly, I called customer service before even sitting down to dinner. 
We came to the conclusion that UPS really did something to the package for something to leak and ruin an item.  I am thinking they must have ran over the box!!  Within 10 minutes of verifying everything, double checking my information, the representative placed a reorder of my one damaged and one missing item.  Within the hour, I received an email notification acknowledging my order and the next morning, received notification that my items have been shipped. 

I LOVE IT!!!

Attitude

What makes you skeptical in trying something new and different?  Is it the uncertainty?  What if there was a “no harm, no foul” type of attitude?  Would you be willing then??
That’s how I was when I first signed up to be a Marketing Executive.  Skeptical.  How many home based businesses are truly successful?  Depends on the person, right?  I figured, if I enjoy the products, save money in the long run, and promote a greener lifestyle, and not to mention healthier...What’s to hurt?  My conclusion…nothing. 
I have my monthly order ready to be checked-out in my cart on Friday.  My excitement for this week?  I’m buying my 96-load laundry pack for only $3.49 using Loyalty Shopping Dollars I’ve accumulated.  (Normally $34.99).  I do 1- 2 loads a week.  Per my calulcations, that will last me approximately 2 months.  Can you do your laundry for 2 months for only $3.49?  Shoot, for 1 month?!  How many stores do you know that provide up to 10% back in Loyalty Shopping Dollars?
·         Earn 10% in Loyalty Shopping Dollars by shopping online from the 1st of the month through the 25th.
